STIHL MS 231 Woodboss 16" Bar Chainsaw
The Stihl MS 231 chainsaw is a versatile saw that is ideal for private users or farmers felling small trees, cutting firewood and general landscape maintenance.
It's power by a 42 cc 2-MIX engine that allows emissions to be cut by up to 70% and fuel consumption is up to 20% lower compared to a STIHL 2-stroke engine of the same power output without 2-MIX technology.
This chainsaw also has all of its important operating controls located on a single lever, so start, choke, throttle and stop are all close at hand.
Special catches are used on the oil and fuel caps to make them easy to open and lock, but most importantly allow you to do so without using tools.
We'll fill it with fuel and bar oil, run it and give you a run down on starting and tensioning the chain.
